Does the host get paid?
No. Sharing spare bin space is a neighbourly favour, not a business. Money never goes to the person offering space.
Is my address visible to everyone?
No. Your exact address stays private until you've matched with someone and agreed to the swap.
What if something goes wrong?
Every listing and chat can be reported or blocked in a couple of taps; safety tools are built in from day one.
When's it launching?
We're finishing up testing now. Pop your email in on the home page and we'll let you know the moment it's live.
What if no one nearby has space?
Bin Knight works best where there are a few active neighbours nearby, so coverage will grow street by street as more people join. If no one's listed space yet, you can post a request and we'll notify you when someone nearby does.
Is there a cost to use Bin Knight?
No. Bin Knight is free for both people offering spare bin space and people requesting it.
What kind of bins can I share?
Any household collection bin: general waste, recycling, or green waste. You choose which bin type you're offering or need when you post.
Do I need to meet the other person in person?
Not necessarily. Most swaps just need the bin wheeled to an agreed spot on collection day; you can sort the details entirely through in-app chat.
